Where things stand today

The community is example profiles we wrote, with AI-generated photos, so you can see how it will work. Nobody there is real. ID verification and women-only mode are designed and built into the app, but no verification partner is connected yet, so nobody is shown as verified.

Women-only mode

A woman who has verified her ID can switch on women-only mode. She then sees only other verified women, and only they see her: in lists, on arrival timelines and on activities. The mode is not available to anyone who has not verified their ID.

How we know who is a woman

Only from the gender printed on an ID document, read by our verification partner during the check. We never guess gender with AI, from faces, from names or from anything a person writes. A document that says X or male is not eligible for women-only mode.

What we do not check

Anything a person writes about themselves, including a gender they choose to show, is their own word and not checked by us. Only the ID verification mark means a document was checked, and it says nothing about whether someone is kind or safe.

ID verification

When it is connected, a verification partner checks your passport or ID card and compares it with a selfie. The partner works on our behalf and under our instructions. We receive and keep three things: that the check passed, the gender on the document, and the date. We never receive or store the document image, the selfie or the document number.

Blocking, hiding and reporting

Anyone can block another traveller, which hides you from each other everywhere. You can hide your own profile at any time. Reports go to a person who reviews them; with example profiles, nothing is sent.

Location

Other travellers see only your city. An exact meeting point is shared only when both people have accepted to meet, and either one can take it back.

What we cannot promise

Verification lowers the risk of fake profiles. It does not make anyone safe to meet. Trust your judgement, meet in public, and leave whenever you want. In an emergency, call the local emergency number first.
